(Eagleville, PA, January 11, 2005) Putting strokes account
for one-third to one-half of a golf score. Improving the short game is the
easiest and fastest way for a golfer to lower his or her handicap. Because
this aspect of golf relies more on technique, rather than physical strength,
a player of any age or athletic ability can definitely get better on and
around the green. Putting Analysis System, a unique video/computer
analysis program and training device package, concentrates on improving a
golfer’s putting method. The positive changes will result in fewer
putts-per-round and lower scores.
Putting Analysis System gives golf instructors and
players of every skill level the ability to thoroughly analyze a putting
stroke from as many as eleven camera angles. The high-rate 60 FPS
(frames-per-second) video/analysis, key positions, and other features allow
close examination of the golfer's body, putter shaft, blade, and ball from
the front, side and rear. Compared to a standard video, Putting Analysis
System’s high frame rate provides twice as many video "stop
points" during the putting stroke, so the user can freeze the action
more precisely. With twice as much picture information, very accurate putter
head movement and ball rolling data can be observed.
Putting Analysis System comes with complete,
picture-illustrated directions for setting up the user’s camcorder and
superimposing graphics over each captured video. The program tells the
player what to look for during the stroke so that putting abnormalities can
be uncovered and improvements made.
Putting Analysis System is more than a computer program.
The package comes with a number of exclusive training devices, tools
and golf professional putting suggestions. Many learning aids and techniques
can help improve other scoring shots, as well as, full swing execution.
ABOUT Brooks Creative Services, Gary Brooks
Putting Analysis System's creator, Gary Brooks, is a 61 year
old golf teaching professional with the rare talent of also being a computer
programmer. Nearly thirty years ago, Gary was one of the first to utilize
video as a means for analyzing the golf swing. In the 80's, Brooks'
Commodore 64 and Amiga computers got him interested in programming and by
the late 90's he became seriously involved with WindowsÒ
application work. During the last few years, Gary has developed and is now
marketing four sports analysis computer programs.
His initial application, Golf Swing Analysis System, a
multi-function golf swing video/computer analysis program was launched in
2001, and is being used worldwide by golf professionals and players. This
(Standard) version runs on older computers and all
WindowsÒ operating systems. It can even be used
on a Macintosh computer with Virtual PC. It’s delivered via an Internet
file download.
Golf Swing Analysis System Professional, a fast,
high-performance application, was unveiled in 2003. Professional includes built-in video capturing, 60 FPS analysis, custom 21 speed
video player, clubhead speeds and timing calculations throughout the swing,
ball launch-angle measuring, and other functions.
Last year, All Sports Analysis Program, a general sports
video/computer athletic performance analyzer was completed and is being
marketed at www.analysisprogram.com. A_S_A_P is being utilized by
coaches and athletes in a variety of sports.
In September 2004, Putting Analysis System started being
promoted and sold via the Internet at www.thegolfsystem.com. Putting
Analysis System takes advantage of Gary's past programming experience by
incorporating a number of functions from his earlier Professional and
A_S_A_P applications.
In addition to coding, packaging and marketing his computer
programs, Gary is the golf teaching professional at Butter Valley Golf Port
in suburban Philadelphia. He also designed and maintains the
course's web site,
