I'm pleased to say, when it comes to my programs, there are no operational differences between "7", Microsoft's newest Windows^Ž operating system and their short-lived Vista.

7's Movie Maker is different.
Unlike previous Windows^Ž versions, 7 does not come with Windows^Ž Movie Maker installed. It's part of what Microsoft calls Live Essentials and needs to be downloaded. This Live Movie Maker version imports many more video formats than others, however, one major difference, is that "Live" outputs only Windows^Ž Media Video WMV files. Live Movie Maker does not let users save video as a common AVI, or any other type video file. There are many apps, better than Movie Maker, that will edit, convert and save your video as an AVI file. But, if Live Movie Maker is the only video editor on your 7 PC, you can download WMM 2.6 (from Microsoft) and use it.
